This trip takes one into the beautiful Pokhara valley and the Annapurna foothills one of the best walking areas of Nepal. The lower altitudes, sunny winter days, mild temperatures makes this an ideal short six day walking vacation. We stay two nights in Kathmandu, two nights in the beautiful Himalayan Deurali Resort in Naudanda on a ridge above Pokhara with spectacular mountain views from your bedroom windows and one night at Pokhara to round up this tour. A six day five nights holiday in unspoilt the Pokhara Valley in Nepal.
Walk 4-5 hours a day ( 8-10 km) and return in the evening to the beautiful Himalayan Deurali Resort Naudanda and our hotel in Pokhara with hot showers good meals and great mountain views.

Day 01 – Kathmandu
We reach Kathmandu by lunchtime / early afternoon and have the rest of the day free in Kathmandu – we can visit the tourist area of Thamel for last minute shopping and and later dinner. Night at Mandala Boutique or Hotel Thrive as available
Day 02: Flight to Pokhara and night at Naudanda 1560m
We take a morning flight to Pokhara around 8 am and then visit the International Mountain Museum in Pokhara for about an hour or so. After lunch at Pokhara lakeside we carry on to the Himalayan Deurali Resort in Nadudanda about an hour away. The afternoon is spent relaxing in our resort garden and chilling out.
Day 03: Drive to Kande from Naudanda and walk Australian Camp- Dhampus and back to Naudanda in a loop trail.
We have early breakfast around 7-30 am and leave by 8 am and drive from Naudanda to Kande in about 20 minutes. From Kande we climb up in about 1 .5 hours to the beautiful viewpoint Australian Camp where we take a tea stop. From here we walk down in about an hour to the hill top village of Dhampus where we have an early lunch around 12 noon at a guest house. From Dhampus after lunch we descent into the valley and cross a suspension bridge and then gently climb up in about 30 minutes back to Naudanda by late afternoon
Day 04: Walk from Naudanda to Sarangkot and drive back from Sarangkot to Pokhara
We leave our resort after breakfast around 8.30 am and then walk along the ridge to Sarangkot in about 3-4 hours with mountain views on one side and the Pokhara lake and valley on the other. From Sarangkot we drive down to our hotel in Pokhara. The walk is very peaceful along the ridge with the valley on one side and the forest on the other. The evening can be spent in the Lakeside Pokhara
Day 5 : Pokhara to Shanti Stupa walk and fly back to Kathmandu in the evening. – We have breakfast around 7 30 am and then walk up to Shanti Stupa through the forest road in about 2 hours. We reach the top and take a tea break and look at the enormouse view. The descent takes an hour and then we head to the airport for our flight back to Kathmandu in the early afternoon.
Day 6: Fly back from Kathmandu to home cities.

Cost of guides and support staff as needed for the tour
All transport Kathmandu to Kathmandu is covered and flights Kathmandu to Pokhara return.
Costs not included
Flight Costs from home cities to Kathmandu. Kathmandu airport pick up and drop is not included unless whole group is coming on the same flight where we can send one micro bus for pickup.
In Kathmandu and Pokhara lunch and dinner is not included. In Naudanda for two nights all meals are included – if we are walking we will take packed lunch. Tea /coffee, snacks at the tea shops on the walk is not included.
Medical insurance of any kind.
Personal clothing and equipment; medicines for personal use etc.
Air fare from residence country to India and back
Cost of covid negative test if needed and any other test like rapid antigen test in Nepal if required – presently no covid test is needed for Nepal.
Tips at hotel and to local staff at the end of tour – we will give a guideline on this before the tour.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The cancellation policy and refunds available are given below:
0-7 days before the start of the tour =100% deducted
8 -15 days before the start of the tour = 75%deducted
16-30 days before the start of the tour = 50% deducted
31-45 days before the start of the tour = 30% deducted
46 days and above = 20% deducted
IN CASE OF LEAVING THE GROUP
If due to illness or any other reason a client has to leave the group and go down or wait at a lodge for the group to pick him/her up on the way back, all expenses including lodging, fooding and any porter/guide related expenses if any are to be borne by the individual client over and above the tour fees paid for the tour. There are also no refunds for leaving a tour before completion.
LODGES/CAMPING SITES ON THE TOUR
The choice of lodges/camping sites to be used on the tour will be decided by South Col and clients will have to stay at these designated lodges/camps. Clients are not permitted to choose their own lodges on the route.
TOUR ROUTE AND ITINERARY
The tour route and day wise schedule will be fixed by South Col and will have to be followed by the client.
RISKS AND LIABILITY
The tour is in a mountain area and has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include: physical exertion for which the client should be prepared; weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected changes; remoteness from normal medical services - In the event of injury or illness South Col Expeditions (Sujoy Das) or its Staff can, at the clients cost arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for the health and safety of the client.
